Emily Kithira Mwitari
Emily K. Mworia is a seasoned strategic communications specialist with over 15 years of leadership experience in senior management. Throughout her career, she has driven impactful communication strategies for prominent organizations, including Amref, NHIF, and Faulu, where she focused on building the sustainable partnerships and networks necessary for long-term organizational change.
As a dedicated advocate for social welfare, Emily is the co-founder and Chairperson of CAADA, an organization centered on advocacy against drug and alcohol abuse. Her governance expertise is further demonstrated through her current role on the Business Registration Services Board and her previous service on the National Drought Management Authority Board.
Emily holds a GEMBA from USIU-Africa, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication. Her technical foundation is bolstered by professional certifications in crisis management and advanced writing and editing.
Mathew Tajeu Kisang’a
Mathew Tajeu Kisang’a is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a policy and governance advisor with experience in legal practice, public policy, and institutional development. He serves as a Director of the Centre for Advocacy Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CAADA), where he provides strategic leadership on policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and community-based interventions addressing substance abuse.
Under his leadership, CAADA focuses on advancing youth-centered prevention initiatives, strengthening community awareness, and engaging policymakers on effective alcohol and drug control frameworks. He has led multi-stakeholder engagements across government, civil society, and community actors, positioning the organisation within broader national conversations on prevention and rehabilitation since its founding in 2017.
Mathew is also the Founder and Principal Advocate at Tajeu & Co. Advocates and the Founder of Policy Craft KE, where he advises on regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and policy development. His work sits at the intersection of law and public policy, supporting institutions to navigate complex regulatory and governance environments.
He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Africa Nazarene University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Florence Muthoni Hegarty
Brings a wealth of experience having served at different levels at both Kenyatta University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology where she was in charge of all Administration functions of a Campus. She served as a Council Member for the CUK and its precursor till the end of the term in June 2017.
She holds a Master Degree in Rural Development from the University of Ireland, Galway, a Postgraduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies, from Africa Nazarene University, a National Diploma in Development Skills from Kimmage Manor, Dublin, and a Diploma in Business Management and Administration from Cambridge Tutorial College, England.
Florence has further worked with a number of organizations serving in different capacities among them being the Kenya Ecumenical Church Loan Fund, National Council for Churches of Kenya and as a Board member in One World Centre Galway, an International Development organization in Ireland.
Eunice Ngotho
Ms. Ngotho is a teacher by profession with a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Nairobi. She is also a qualified counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. As a high school teacher and a Guidance and Counselling professional with nearly 20 years of experience, she has a wealth of experience on matters affecting the youth. Her practice spans several counties including Nakuru, Nyandarua, Nairobi, Kiambu and Murang’a. Besides teaching, she is actively involved in the students’ Christian Union movement as well as Music and Art departments.
She is passionate about youth transformation, parenting, charity work and agriculture.
Maureen Ng’endo
Maureen Ng’endo is a trained social scientist with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kenyatta University. She works in the mental health field, offering psychosocial support and facilitating mental health programs, particularly among trauma-affected populations.
She is deeply passionate about maternal mental health and child development, with a growing interest in human development across the lifespan. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Maureen is driven to translate her knowledge into meaningful impact, supporting the growth and mission of CAADA through thoughtful, people-centered approaches.
